Celebrate the International Day of the Hologram on June 5th! See real holograms in Columbus, Ohio. A hologram records and replays an independent, fully three-dimensional image. June 5th is the birthday of Dennis Gabor, who invented the process in 1944, and received a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1971 for his work.
